More and more conversations are taking place about the importance of using native plants and shrubs in landscaping design. We anticipate more landscaping plans will involve greenery from local areas and more research will be done to accommodate local environments. 

Along those same lines, there is anticipation that more designers and DIYers will work with the land and obstacles they have in the space, rather than completely start from scratch in the area they’re working in. 

Aged Upgrades

Even though many outdoor spaces don’t go out of style, regular use of those spaces can cause concern over time. Sources like the National Association of Landscape Professionals suggest that there will be a rise in outdoor renovations in 2024 as previously installed structures and layouts will need to be repaired and refreshed.

Since 2020, we’ve seen a rise in home gardening and edible landscaping. More people are interested in growing their own foods and spending more time in their outdoor spaces. Home gardens and food-producing plants in home landscaping are expected to grow steadily throughout the year.
